How does a cat cafe work?
Frabjous is like a regular coffee shop but we have adoptable cats! You can drop in for coffee drinks and tasty treats and hang out any time. The Cheshire lounge will have limited space to hang with the furry felines, so there will be a reservation fee to enjoy the company of our cats. We'll begin taking reservations upon opening in November. Walk-ins will be allowed if space permits! For more info about adopting click here.
Why do I have to pay to see the cats?
Each time you visit and every dollar spent in the Cheshire Lounge helps us support the cats! Your admission fee helps us pay rent, keep the lights on, pay our cat loving staff, and allows us to keep saving cuddly kitties.
Where do the cats come from?
Our partner, Paws For Life, provides adorable available cats to us that are up for adoption and are up to date on their vaccines, heartworm and flea & tick preventatives.
I think I found my match, can I adopt?
Awesome! Of course you can adopt. Through our partnership with Paws For Life, we can help you complete the adoption process. Please use this link to begin filling out the application for adoption.
Will the cats hang around the cafe area?
We will have a completely separate area from the cafe for you to enjoy time with the cats in the Cheshire Lounge. No one wants cat hair in their coffee....ew!
Can I bring my cat for a playdate?
So sorry but no. As much as we love to have the cats socialize, we will have plenty of them here to cuddle and play with each other.
Where do the cats go at night?
The cats sleep in the Cheshire lounge! They will have cuddly beds and quiet places to snuggle and sleep. The lounge is essentially a large foster home for the cats so they are never caged or crated.
What can I do if I find a cat or kittens?
We would love to help however we cannot take any cats that do not come in through Paws For Life. To do so would jeopardize the health and well-being of the cats in our care. We are always in search of folks willing to foster so you may reach out to PFL here or check into additional resources if you find a stray or are rehoming a cat here.
Where does your coffee come from?
We have created our own brand of Frabjous coffee in partnership with Well Bean roaster based out of Wake Forest NC.
Do you offer gift cards?
We sure do! We have them available on our site for purchase as E-cards. These are perfect for a cat lover to visit on their own time. You can grab one here.
